Our story
Katamkera was born from a deep attachment to Corse, its mule tracks, its hilltop villages, and the pastoral civilization that continues to beat at the heart of the island. A simple desire: to reveal Corse differently, through its soul rather than through a postcard.
The agency was built from a small mountain village in Cape Corsica, in the north of the island. It is there, between maquis and summits, that Katamkera designs its itineraries: hiking along former mule tracks, cultural excursions, catamaran cruises, yoga sessions or paghjela workshops, this Corsican polyphonic chant inscribed in Unesco's heritage. An ecological and solidarity-based approach, designed for a sensitive territory, with a percentage from each trip donated to associations that rehabilitate trails and enhance isolated villages.
Véronique, founder and passionate traveler, lives in Corse with Paul, her husband, a Corsican at heart and from an island family. Together, from their village, they weave a network of passionate Corsicans—guides, artisans, farmers, small producers—who open their doors to travelers and bring the inner Corse to life.
